A little bit about me ...
I am mum to two grown up boys. I still don’t think they know what to think of my new found career! Never the less, they think its great and are very encouraging.
I am naturally a very chatty person and love meeting new people. Yes, i know you could be rolling your eyes thinking “I bet she says this to everyone”! But seriously, i genuinely do and i love a good laugh.
After getting a call from a colleague with whom i had done a conference with sparked me to get into Wedding Planning as a business. I am naturally a very good organiser and no matter what is happening, be it a wedding cake melting in the heat or changing room choices at the 11th hour, I am calm. Someone one said “you are unflappable”!
After 20 plus years in the hotel industry I have built up great relationships with venues and suppliers. My overall training and experience throughout the years with specific emphasis on my experience in Wedding and Events has made it possible for me to take this leap.
I think many couples feel that a Wedding Planner is going to be very costly and definitely not included in their budget. A bride recently told me it was “the best money she had spent”. She was able to just relax and enjoy the day without the worry about everything else. I really believe that a good planner will take the weight off a couples’s shoulders and guide them all the way.
Either as a wedding planner or wedding celebrant, it is a great privilege to be part of a couple’s wedding day, and I get a kick out of being there on the day itself. It is such a great celebration of two people’s love for each other, and I love being part of that.
